Purchasing Cooperative
It All Begins Here
The Center’s Purchasing Cooperative aids school districts and municipalities in bulk purchasing of the following items: number 2 fuel oil, copy paper, computer supplies, school supplies, athletic supplies, milk and dairy products, frozen foods, bread, non-food cafeteria supplies and custodial supplies. Each bid establishes fixed pricing of goods over a specified time period without the addition of delivery charges. Both French River members and non-members may participate in any number of bid categories. Member districts’ annual membership fee includes bid participation.
Non-members are assessed a per bid fee. All bids, with the exception of number 2 fuel oil, are secured in the spring for pricing the following fiscal year.
All bids need to be received sealed - so electronic submission is not allowed by Mass General Laws, Sec. 30B.
